Home Builder & Designer in West Houston’s Memorial VillagesOne of the most thriving areas in all of Houston, the Memorial Villages is the ideal location for a family looking to set down roots in the home of their dreams. Let’s Talk Next Steps
Benefits of Building a Home in the Memorial area
The Memorial area of Houston is perfect for families looking to get out of the cramped spaces of the city but still want the same metropolitan amenities available in the loop. Moreover, many executives and business leaders are leaving the city in droves in search of luxury living arrangements closer to their jobs in the Energy Corridor with companies from Shell to Gulf States Toyota Distributors.
There are four main reasons why people love the Memorial area so much:
- Privacy. Strict deed restrictions limit businesses from operating within or near neighborhoods. This commercial inactivity creates an insulating barrier for these neighborhoods. Since Houston is known for its wacky zoning laws, the quiet in Memorial is a major plus for homeowners.
- Location. It’s the perfect spot for a number of reasons: The upscale homes, the amenities, the appreciating home value, and the proximity to both the Energy Corridor and Downtown Houston.
- Shopping. Memorial City Mall and CityCentre combine to provide an area teeming with new developments that are walkable and upscale.
- Schools. Zoned to mainly Spring Branch ISD and Katy ISD, the Memorial area is known for its high-quality educational opportunities.
A Household Name in Houston for Custom Homes
Our parent company, Frankel Building Group, has been designing and building custom homes throughout the Houston area for more than 30 years. Thus, we’re intimately familiar with building homes in the Memorial area. We’ve even featured a Memorial home we built in the Spring Valley neighborhood in our gallery!
Since we’re an offshoot of Frankel, we offer the same top-quality features, amenities and custom design experience. But what our clients love the most is our ability to fast-track their construction timeline with a more attentive budget in mind.
That means we can create a move-in-ready home in less than a year.
We Protect Your Home Against Future Flooding
During Hurricane Harvey, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers was forced to release floodwaters downstream due to critical water levels in the Addicks and Barker Reservoirs. Unfortunately, Memorial was one of several neighborhoods in West Houston affected during that storm.
As local builders, we’ve experienced first-hand what’s it’s like losing a home to floodwaters. That’s why we build more than half of our homes on vented pier-and-beam foundations. This intentional design feature prevents homes from flooding and allows floodwaters to freely flow underneath homes.
If you’re concerned about moving to Memorial because of the potential of future flooding, you shouldn’t be. All of the homes in the area built by BuildFBG on pier-and-beam foundations have never been flooded.
Every BuildFBG Home is LEED for Homes Certified
At no extra cost to you, every BuildFBG home is designed and built to meet LEED for Homes standards. Not only will this help keep your energy bill low during the summer, but LEED standards also help create higher resale values for your home should you choose to sell.
Experience the BuildFBG Difference
BuildFBG absolutely loves the Memorial area, and we hope you consider it an option for building your custom home. Regardless of where you choose to build the home of your dreams, we want to create it for you. We can even help you acquire the land.
